Teas for Wildlife was created
to help shift that story.
Our Story
Tea with a deeper purpose
Teas for Wildlife began with a question: how can everyday consumption create real protection for wildlife and the people living alongside it?
For founders Ili Cohen and Amit, the answer was never about building another tea company. It was about creating a bridge — between conscious consumers and the realities unfolding in tea-growing regions where human–wildlife conflict continues to rise.
In parts of India, expanding agriculture and shrinking natural corridors have forced wildlife and communities into increasingly fragile coexistence. Elephants walk through tea gardens. Farmers protect their crops through fear. Workers — many of them women — face danger simply by going to work each day. Behind every cup of tea is an ecosystem, a livelihood, and often, a conflict invisible to the outside world.
We source real-ingredient teas, herbs, and spices from small farmers across India, many of them working in landscapes where elephants, leopards, and other wildlife still move freely through tea-growing regions.
Every blend is created not only for flavor and wellbeing, but to support a more sustainable future for the communities and ecosystems connected to it.
By partnering with responsibly managed tea gardens and sourcing directly from farmers who support wildlife coexistence, the brand reinvests part of its profits into conservation initiatives, education, and long-term community support.

Meet the Founders
Ili Cohen
For Ili, the project began with a growing emotional awareness of the imbalance between humanity and nature.
What started as personal reflection soon became action — rescuing animals, learning about wildlife conservation, and searching for ways to create impact beyond individual acts of care.
Through this journey, she met Amit, whose deep connection to tea landscapes and wildlife conservation would become the foundation of Teas for Wildlife.
Together, they imagined something different: a tea company built not only around taste and ritual, but around compassion. A company where conservation is not a campaign, but part of the product itself.
Ili believes that lasting change begins with emotional connection — especially through younger generations. That belief continues to shape the spirit of the brand today: hopeful, empathetic, and deeply connected to the living world.
Amit
Amit's journey began inside tea fields themselves, working as a field manager within wildlife conservation projects connected to elephant corridors and tea plantations.
There, he witnessed firsthand the realities many consumers never see: the tension between agriculture and wildlife, the dangers faced by workers, and the devastating consequences of unmanaged conflict.
He saw how fear often replaces coexistence, and he believed people deserved to know the true story behind their tea.
Teas for Wildlife was created from that lived experience — with the vision of building sustainable relationships between farmers, wildlife, and global consumers.
For Amit, tea has always been more than a beverage. Tea brings people together, creates pause and conversation, and through that shared ritual he believes people can reconnect with nature in a more conscious way.
Today, the mission remains deeply personal: to protect wildlife around tea-growing regions while creating exceptional teas that nourish both body and spirit.
